Raiders Top Spot

The Nepean Raiders solidified the top spot in the CCHL garnering five out of six points in their last three games. As well, the Raiders now sit in 7th spot in the Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings. This past week, Nepean played a home and home series against Carleton Place and gained three out of four points.  At the Yzerman Arena last Wednesday, Nepean beat the Canadians 4-3 in a fast-paced game. The top line of Cowie, Neil and MacLean had eight points and Ryan Johnston added three helpers and Dalen Hedges added a goal. In the rematch Friday in Carleton Place, the Canadians came out on top 3-2 in overtime with Johntson and Hedges scoring for Nepean. Sunday in Gloucester, the Raiders capped off the weekend with 4-2 win.  Mike Milito, Brandon Watt, Jake Butler and Johnston scored for Nepean. This week, the Raiders are at home Wednesday against Pembroke and then play a home and home set against the Ottawa Senators Saturday at the Jim Durrell Arena before wrapping up Sunday afternoon at home.
